Though one can take ritual bath in Sethu any day, any time and it has no restrictions like taking ritual baths in other holy seas. Whereas there are certain auspicious days which are mentioned below.

The Sethu pilgrimage should be done one after the other as mentioned in the below tabular column. Once you take ritual bath ( holy bath) in holy theerthas, you must definetely perform thila tharpanam. If you fail to do so, you won’t even receive the benefits by taking ritual bath in holy theerthas.
As you go on this pilgrimage, wear a kaavi dress ( saffron coloured dress), have to take food one time a day and should read the Sethu Purana and pray in the name of Lord Shiva.
