The Glory of Ramanatha

Sudha Maharishi started telling the greatness of Sri Ramanatha, which can never be narrated by the general public, sages or even by Adhishesa who has thousand toungues.

In the land of Kandamadhanam (Rameshwaram), Lord Sita devi, the image of Mahalaxmi, made this Ramanathar by piling sand with her hands. (Shiva Lingam). This lingam is full of gods and goddesses like Brahma, Vishnu, Ruthra, Indra, Ashtadikpalaka, Brahmarishis, all tirthas, Saraswati, Mahalaxmi and Parvati.

THE BENEFITS OF HAVING DARSHAN OF SRI RAMANATHA:

  • By observing Sri Ramanatha once, one attains the great mukti of the Saiyujyam.
  • One who worships Sri Ramanatha for three times is free from all sins and has the great privilege of culminating with Parameswara.
  • Even people who studied the Chaturveda and the Shastras is no match for a devotee of Sri Ramanatha.
  • A non-vegetarian person who is a devotee of Lord Ramanatha is to be given priority and donations should be made to him. He who is not a devotee of Sri Ramanathar, though he knows the Chaturveda and Shastras,one should not donate him.
  • The devotees who visit Sri Ramanathar gain the benefit of an aesthetic sacrifice for each step they walk.
  • No matter how many billions of sins committed by a person, if one does Kumba abishek to the temple of Sri Ramanathar, one gets relieved from all the sins.
  • The person worshiping Sri Ramanatha with Bilva/ wood apple leaves(Vilvam) is rewarded with higher benefits.
  • One attains Ashtalakshmi Katakshtam by anointing Ramanatha with Sethu Theertha during the full moon and new moon days.
  • One can enjoy the benefits of Dharma, Artha, Karma & Moksha in his/her present life by anointing Sri Ramanatha with Ganga water from Kasi .

Before the darshan of Lord Shri Ramanatha, Lord Rama has decreed that one should make darshan of the Kasi Vishwanath, consecrated by Hanuma who is in the temple on the northern side.
